UPDATE: Today, 10/14/10 I went to Target and used my Red Check Card and it gave me 5% off. Maybe they are starting it early. I suggest signing up!!
I recently applied for a Target Check Card. It works just like your debit card but only at Target. You swipe it enter your pin and earn rewards for using it. But it comes directly out of your checking account within 2-3 days. You can also sign up your school and earn rewards for them too, just by using this Target Red Check Card. Unlike the credit card you don't have to be approved for it and it doesn't effect anything on your credit report. You just go here and print the form, fill it out and mail it in with a VOIDED check and within a couple weeks you will recieve your card.
The best part about signing up for this program is that starting October 17th you will receive 5% off your total at Target every time you use your Red Card (whether it be the credit or the check card). Sounds like a pretty good plan if you are already shopping there and all you have to do is sign up! :) Extra 5% off works great for us!! :)
